With its nominated
'Open Core Engineering' concept, automation specialist
Bosch Rexroth is giving machine manufacturers new opportunities in the realization of individual software functions. This new approach is intended to bridge the gap between classic PLC engineering and so-called IT automation. Machine manufacturers are thus able to flexibly access the control core of the 'IndraMotion MLC' and 'IndraLogic XLC' system solutions from high-level language-based applications. "This allows them to implement individual solutions independently and more easily and economically than before," explains Lucas Wintjes, Head of Sales and Industry Management Factory Automation at Bosch Rexroth.
