In addition to position values, the Ethercat encoders from Leine & Linde provide precise speed and acceleration values at high speeds. Thanks to electronics optimization, the interface can even operate with the shortest cycle times, according to the manufacturer, and can therefore be used in a wide range of applications, from the process industry to steelworks and wind farms. Ethercat is currently being introduced for the 600 and 900 series inductive encoders, making this interface available for absolute encoders with diameters from 58 to 100 mm. Solid shaft and hollow shaft versions are available. The 600 series encoders offer a resolution of up to 31 bits. With the 900 series, the company offers a heavy-duty inductive absolute rotary encoder with a diameter of 100 mm for demanding environments. This encoder series is available with a maximum resolution of 35 bits.
