The NA9289 Modbus TCP/UDP fieldbus node with dual Ethernet interface and integrated switch from Wachendorff's FnIO series establishes the connection between devices in an Ethernet TCP network. Fieldbus communication takes place via Modbus TCP or UDP. The integrated web server provides status information on the fieldbus node and the connected expansion modules. With the option of managing up to 64 expansion modules, the Modbus fieldbus node has doubled its performance compared to the previous version, according to the manufacturer. A DIP switch on the front of the device allows the last byte of the IP address to be set and the IP address to be assigned (DHCP, BOOTP, fixed). The ST8236 programming cable is used to monitor and set the system or connect an operating device via USB using the configuration connection on the front. The FnIO modules are designed for mounting on 35 mm DIN rails and have IP20 protection. 16 channels can be accommodated on the 66 mm wide fieldbus node. Direct on-site diagnostics are ensured via the LEDs on the front of the fieldbus nodes and the expansion modules.
