Knoll Maschinenbau has developed a modular assembly and transport system that is particularly suitable for medium and heavy assemblies and workpieces thanks to its high rigidity. Whereas previously only the 'TSS' accumulating roller conveyor belt was available for transporting the trolley system, there is now an alternative in the form of the TSG belt, which is based on a straight-link chain. The TSS can handle loads of up to 1,500 kg/m, while the TSG can move loads of up to 5,000 kg/m. Pallets, mesh boxes and customer-specific carrier plates can also be transported. Both systems are complemented by the TSZ underfloor chain, which is used to create a barrier-free assembly and logistics solution. With this system, the modular transport trolleys, which can be combined into larger units via crossbars, are hooked into the pull chain and can then be moved even over long distances. The synchronization of several chain strands enables the units to be synchronized safely. The electrical concept of the transport system has also been revised and is now also available in modular form.
