The automation controllers from Siemens extend the application possibilities of the Simatic controller generation. The focus is on CPUs for fail-safe automation Safety Integrated. Four failsafe CPUs with graduated performance levels complement the Advanced Controller Simatic S7-1500: CPU 1517F was designed for medium to demanding safety applications, CPUs 1511F, 1513F and 1515F are used for less complex tasks. For the first time, there are two failsafe CPUs for the Basic Controller Simatic S7-1200, 1214FC and 1215FC, as well as a series of failsafe I/O modules. The range for Safety Integrated is supplemented by the first CPUs 1510SP F and CPU 1512SP F for modular automation with the Distributed Controllers. With the new version SP1 of the engineering tool 'Step 7 Safety Advanced V13', users can create programs for the Simatic failsafe controllers.
