The
High Resistant safety fence system from Brühl was specially developed for safeguarding hazardous areas in high-risk zones. These include the working areas of robots in the immediate vicinity of zones outside the safety fence where people are frequently present. The posts of the safety fence system are made of 80 mm x 80 mm tubular steel profiles and are connected to the base plates via friction-locked all-round welds. These plates are very large, with a maximum contact area of 200 mm x 200 mm, in order to absorb and dissipate the forces that occur in the event of a collision. The frames of the fence elements consist of 35 mm x 35 mm profiles. Special fastening elements on the inside of the upper protective fence area prevent the grid element panels from being pushed out in the event of a collision. Pendulum impact tests in the Brühl test field have shown that both the posts and the fence segments as well as the fastening and connecting elements absorb very high impact energy - the fence deforms, but it prevents robot arms or handling goods from penetrating into areas outside the safety fence.
