The
Ethernet switches in the PowerTrans PT-7528 series from Moxa meet the requirements of IEC 61850-90-4 and have a built-in MMS server. The series was designed for the automation of substations. Thanks to 'NoiseGuard' technology, the devices are IEC 61850 compliant and exceed the requirements for EMC protection in accordance with the IEEE 1613 Class 2 standard. The switches prevent data loss during transmission at line speed. The series also enables prioritization of critical data packets (GOOSE, SMVs and PTP) and features a configuration wizard specifically designed for substation automation. The series features Gigabit Ethernet, redundant ring topologies and isolated voltage inputs for 110/220 V(DC)/V(AC) values. The modular device design simplifies network planning. Up to four modular fiber optic interfaces and 24 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 interfaces can be installed. In addition, diagnostic digital fiber optic monitoring (DDM) is available for ST, SC or SFP.
