Turck presents the digital block I/O modules of the TBEN-S(Small) family. The fully encapsulated IP67 modules are 32 mm narrow and 144 mm short and can be mounted directly on the machine. The devices operate in the extended temperature range from -40 to +70 °C. Each module can be operated in any of the three Ethernet systems Profinet, Modbus TCP or Ethernet/IP without additional gateways. Thanks to multi-protocol technology, the devices automatically recognize the protocol in use by monitoring the communication traffic during the start-up phase. An integrated switch enables the devices to be used in a line topology. The I/O modules are available in five variants: each with four digital inputs and outputs, eight digital inputs with module diagnostics, eight digital inputs with channel diagnostics, eight digital outputs and eight universal digital inputs/outputs. The outputs switch a current of up to 2 A. Each output channel is continuously monitored by the integrated diagnostics system with ring buffer. The device's internal web server can be used to display diagnostics in plain text, for example.
