MaxxVision is launching the FCB-ER8300 zoom camera module with autofocus from the Sony FCB series. According to the manufacturer, the color camera block equipped with a 1/2.3-inch Exmor R CMOS sensor is the world's first autofocus zoom camera block to achieve 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) and 30 fps. The camera module has a 12× optical zoom. Thanks to Sony's "Super Resolution Zoom", an effective optical zoom factor of 20× is achieved. In order to achieve the highest possible image quality even in difficult lighting conditions, the color camera block is equipped with functions such as Visibility Enhancement, Advanced Noise Reduction, Defog Mode, Auto ICR and Backlight Compensation. Dimensions of 60 mm x 64 mm x 105 mm with a weight of 385 g and an HDMI output simplify the integration of the module into cameras and devices. It is controlled using the VISCA protocol via the serial RS232 interface.
