Siemens is expanding its range of communicative room thermostats with the RDF800KN model with touchscreen. Thanks to KNX support, the product can be connected to building automation systems such as Desigo, Synco or Gamma from Siemens, but also to numerous third-party systems. The Synco web server from Siemens also allows the user to access the room thermostat via the Internet and monitor or change its settings and values. The room thermostat has numerous manually adjustable energy-saving functions. These include demand-controlled air conditioning, individual room control with centrally specified setpoints, setpoint limitation for heating and cooling and for fan speed control, time programs and a presence/absence function. Window contacts or presence detectors can be connected via two multifunctional inputs. The room temperature is controlled either via the integrated temperature sensor or an external room or return sensor. Commissioning and configuration is carried out via the touchscreen, the Synco ACS tool or the KNX Engineering Tool Software (ETS). The product is intended for flush-mounted installation.
