The LobiX WRT offers four digital inputs, two digital outputs, two Ethernet interfaces, WLAN, a USB interface and an RS232 interface. These interfaces can be configured or programmed as required. The industrial router can therefore be used as a LAN-to-LAN router, alarm and control device, WLAN access point or VPN gateway, for example. The latter is particularly easy to implement using the Digicluster VPN portal. With the device, the well-known router operating system OpenWRT can now also be used in the industrial sector. The open-source OpenWRT, which is based on Linux, is constantly being further developed by a large community. The router can be easily configured via the Openwrt web interface and additional software packages can be added. Their functions can be adapted or extended using bash scripts or the Python programming language, for example.
