The Mosaic PLC control unit from Reer is a modular, configurable safety system for the protection of persons on machines or systems. The modular construction and compact design (from 22.5 mm) enable a flexible combination of input and output modules. The M1 main module has eight inputs and two OSSD output pairs and can therefore already cover smaller applications as a stand-alone module. The controller can be used to monitor several safety systems such as safety light grids, light barriers, mechanical switches, floor mats, emergency stop switches, RFID sensors or two-hand circuits. Thanks to the MCT module, parts of the system can be housed decentrally in separate control cabinets and connected to the M1 main module. The 'Mosaic Safety Designer' allows the PLC to be programmed using drag & drop.
