With the 'Ixxat Safe' product family, HMS offers a portfolio of solutions for safe communication in accordance with IEC 61508 - from safety protocol software for CIP Safety and Functional Safety over Ethercat (FSoE) to ready-made Profisafe I/O modules for integration into customer devices. The family also includes the Ixxat Safe T100, a complete solution for connecting safe I/Os via a safe communication protocol. It is integrated directly into the customer's system - for example in welding systems, drives or switch terminals. The system uses the supplier's 'Anybus-Compact-Com' modules as a communication path via the non-secure network; secure communication is implemented entirely via the 'black channel' principle. Customer-specific versions can be implemented for special requirements in terms of form factor, connectors or number of I/Os.
