With its EtherCAT-based measurement modules, CSM also offers measurement technology for applications with many measurement signals and high measurement data rates. The XCP-Gateway protocol converter specially developed for this series of measurement modules connects the EtherCAT world previously known from test bench applications with the XCP on Ethernet standard. This means that standard software used in mobile road tests can also be used. According to the manufacturer, XCP-Gateway enables measurement data acquisition via EtherCAT with synchronization of all measurement signals better than 1µs and converts this data into the XCP on Ethernet protocol. The technology of the gateway achieves an accuracy of the time stamp of the measurement signals of 1 µs.
