HBM has developed a new input card with eight analog voltage inputs for the Genesis Highspeed family of data acquisition systems. It supports the connection of IEPE sensors including TEDS transducer detection as well as digital inputs. The measuring rate of the new data acquisition card is 2 MS/s per channel and the resolution is 18 bits. In addition, all measurement channels are isolated. According to the manufacturer, calculations can be carried out on the card in the DSP (digital signal processor) in real time and measurements can be triggered. This makes the data acquisition card suitable for long-term monitoring of a signal. The IEPE sensors can be connected directly to the new input card to record mechanical variables such as pressure and acceleration, which require high measurement rates. The data acquisition card can be used in all basic devices of the Genesis HighSpeed family. Signal processing takes place in the Perception measurement software.
