Rauscher presents the Matrox Imaging Library MIL 10, the latest release of which supports Microsoft Windows 8 and the Linux distribution Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Improvements to the vector-based graphical image overlays allow programmers to integrate interactive MIL tools into their own applications more quickly. The 'MIL Profiler' utility illustrates the processing of multi-threaded MIL applications, enabling more detailed debugging and optimization. A modified calibration routine enables 3D localization of objects with only four known points. A 'Calculator' helps with the configuration of laser-based 3D scanning setups. The histogram-based color matching tool provides an additional selection-based strategy to match individual pixels to a sample histogram. Full native support for the USB3 Vision camera interface standard is also available.
