With the HDC series, TE Connectivity presents robust rectangular connectors (Heavy Duty Connectors) based on a modular principle, which can be installed flexibly and efficiently in systems. The series realizes connection solutions for the transmission of data, binary signals and power and consists of three core elements: Inserts, contacts and housings. The inserts and contacts are available in several variants to create the electrical connection using crimp, screw and spring-clamp connection technology. In addition to conventionally turned contacts, a constantly growing range of inserts supports the stamped and molded contacts from the company's 'Dynamic' series. The connector housings are primarily made of die-cast aluminum or robust thermoplastic and protect the connectors against mechanical and environmental influences. The housings also have a high IP protection rating and corrosion resistance. Variants with rated currents from 5 A to 350 A or a contact count of more than 200 pins are available.
