The freely configurable Safety Basis Monitor from Bihl+Wiedemann can be used to implement small safety applications. A new feature is the extension of the integrated standstill monitor to include the speed monitoring function. This allows safe speeds and safe standstills of up to two axes to be monitored, with an adjustable frequency of up to 4 kHz. The device also has two (four) safe electronic outputs onboard as well as eight/four safe inputs (potential-free contacts or OSSDs), which can optionally be designed as eight standard inputs and eight signal outputs.
