Danfoss is launching the
VLT Integrated Servo Drive ISD 510 from the 'VLT Integrated Servo Drives ISD 500' series. It has a rated torque of 1.7 to 15 Nm and is equipped with Ethercat and Powerlink. The devices are powered via a servo access box (SAB) in the control cabinet, which generates a 600 V (DC) voltage. The SAB has an output of 7.5 kW. It is equipped with the 'Local Control Panel' (LCP), which is used for commissioning, diagnostics and support in service cases. Depending on the application, two separate output lines can each supply 32 drives, i.e. a maximum of 64 drives per SAB. A machine master encoder can also be connected directly to the box. The first drive is controlled from the SAB using a hybrid power supply cable. This combines the 600 V(DC) voltage, 24 V(DC) and the drive bus. Loop cables loop the signals from motor to motor (daisy chain), eliminating the need for separate feedback cables or additional distribution boxes. In the first stage, the drives are designed with Safe Torque Off (STO); the implementation of functional safety is in preparation. The IEC 61131-3 programming standard is used for engineering.
