The second winner was also ready for use: the "HoloTop" 3D sensor, a joint development by the Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques and the companies Breitmeier Messtechnik and Asentics. For the first time, holographic measurement methods have been successfully transferred from the laboratory to industrial applications. With a resolution of 7.5 µm and a depth measuring range of 10 mm, the 3D images are suitable for quality assurance - with a typical measuring time of 1.5 s at 1000 x 1000 pixels, even in automatic production lines. Bosch, which has been involved in the project from the outset, is very interested in the sensor.
