When assessing their own company's development, it is striking that confidence in their own company seems to exist even in sectors that rate themselves weaker (ratings 1 = very negative, 2 = negative and 3 = stagnating). This is particularly evident in nuclear technology with a rating of 3. In the lignite sector, companies rate their own development as marginally more negative than the development of the lignite sector as a whole (see Figure 2).
