The comX 51CA-RE communication module from Hilscher was specially developed for use in devices that require a real-time Ethernet slave interface. It offers a fast SPI connection to the host processor and is equipped for the Profinet V2.3 'High Performance Profile' thanks to 'netX 51'. The module reduces the integration effort and component costs for the device manufacturer, as only a simple serial connection to the processor needs to be implemented. The user data can be transferred to the host processor either via a 50 MHz SPI interface or an 8/16-bit parallel bus.
