HMS launches a CAN PC interface series for CAN FD under the Ixxat brand and supports it with a comprehensive driver and tool suite. The CAN-IB 500 and CAN-IB 600 (passive/active) interface cards for the PCI Express standard have up to two CAN interfaces that can be operated in CAN and CAN FD mode. Galvanic decoupling of the channels is available as an option. The active CAN-IB 600 also has an integrated microcontroller and can therefore be used in applications with increased data pre-processing requirements - for example, high-precision time stamps or active filtering of the messages to be sent and received on the card. The cards are supported by both the Ixxat Windows (VCI) and real-time driver packages (ECI for Linux, RTX, Intime, QNX). The Ixxat APIs for CANopen and SAE J1939 also support the interfaces in CAN mode.
