As an alternative to versions with sheet steel housings and radial fans, the DVL/DVE series of roof-mounted fans from Elmeko is available as a cost-effective variant. The devices are based on the company's filter fans and are equipped with a rounded plastic roof hood. This allows users to turn filterfans into roof fans by replacing the gill grille with the roof hood. Six different types are available in two frame sizes 223 mm × 223 mm or 292 mm × 292 mm with air capacities from 120 to 840 m3/h. The fanless roof vent 'DVE' is also available in both sizes. All 'DVL' roof vents and 'DVE' vents are equipped with a class G3 filter mat and achieve protection class IP54. The filter can be changed without tools and is possible during operation. The roof ventilators can also be installed without tools or screws, as the devices are held in place in the mounting cut-out by all-round latching lugs. The entire range is UL-approved and is available with energy-saving EC fans on request.
