The open control platform 'PLCnext Ecosystem' is based on PLCnext from Phoenix Contact and was first presented in fall 2016. The solution converts a classic PLC into an open control platform that can be programmed in IEC 61131, high-level language or model-based code. With the PLCnext Store, Phoenix Contact is now introducing a software store to the market from which apps can be loaded onto the control platform during code creation. Proficloud completes the automation ecosystem as a professional cloud solution. Thanks to the openness of the overall solution, Phoenix Contact offers numerous opportunities to connect the classic automation world with the IT world and to generate new business models based on software and data.
