With the competition entry 'OpenBat-R' from Hirschmann Automation and Control - a Belden brand based in Neckartenzlingen - industrial WLAN access points and clients can be individually configured via the Internet. For the first time, extremely reliable and stable WLAN data connections as well as real-time and safety applications are possible. The built-in Clear Space technology is designed to suppress interference in industrial environments and protect against overvoltage. Combined with the so-called Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), transmission reliability is increased tenfold. The data can be transmitted simultaneously via two different frequencies without any switchover time.
