The Berlin-based company Argo Medical Technologies won first place in the Start-up Award with its 'ReWalk' - according to the company, the first walking solution for personal use that can really be used in everyday life. It is designed to restore mobility to people with severe health restrictions. The exoskeleton suit uses a patented technology with motorized legs that move the knees and hips. "The ReWalk Exoskeletor combines outstanding technical methodology with high social added value. We see great potential for this product to establish itself on the global market, both for personal use and in the rehabilitation sector," Prof. Dr. Gerd Hirzinger, honorary professor at the Technical University of Munich and former head of the Robotics and Mechatronics Center of the German Aerospace Center, explains the decision of the competition's expert jury.
