The Danish company Mobile Industrial Robots is launching MiR100, a mobile robot on the German market. Thanks to instant mapping, it is easy to program and can be quickly integrated into existing logistics and production solutions: It scans its surroundings and records them in a 3D representation. It can also import CAD data from larger environments and then move completely autonomously and safely. Built-in scanners, 3D cameras and ultrasound ensure that the robot stops automatically as soon as it encounters people or static obstacles. Thanks to web technologies, every employee can give the robot commands independently via mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones. Operation is intuitive. Self-explanatory software prevents time-consuming programming or cost-intensive external support. Different attachment modules and a hanger system turn the robot into a multifunctional transport and pulling system. If several robots are used, the so-called 'Fleet Control' ensures communication between the robots via a navigation system. The robot can also be networked with ERP and warehouse systems.
