Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec color sensor series colorSensor OT
© Micro-Epsilon
The colorSensor OT color sensor series from Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec is suitable for detecting color nuances and shades of grey on glossy and textured surfaces. Disturbing light effects are suppressed by diffuse lighting. The series of 20 reflex optics, one fiber optic and three versions for detecting UV markings achieves measuring ranges from 2 to 800 mm; the switching frequency is 30/35 kHz. Eight white light LEDs with adjustable brightness are used as light sources for diffuse illumination. The switching status is indicated by LEDs. The sensors are insensitive to ambient light and have a true color detector. Up to 31 color values can be programmed into the sensor for differentiation via teach-in buttons or control via PC or PLC. The connection to the controller is made via an RS-232 interface, a USB adapter is optionally available. Various algorithms are available for evaluation. The associated software has an averaging function. The typical color resolution of the series is Delta E >0.8.
