With the Pro-face Remote HMI app, hardware manufacturer Pro-face offers an app for its touch panels that is available for iOS and Android. Connected to the local WLAN, it enables secure access to the visualization. Examples of the functional compatibility between the hardware used and the app include the possibility of process-dependent operation, a screenshot function, synchronous and asynchronous access and the option to display alarm information directly from the system. A simple and secure gateway enables Remote Access over Internet (RAOI). Connected to the local system, the gateway allows secure access to production systems and visualization via mobile data networks or the Internet. Security is realized via point-to-point encryption and can be administered via gate, side and link managers. The gateway can also be accessed via smart phone or tablet PC. The gateway also provides direct access to other Ethernet equipment such as PLCs, cameras or similar.
