CRE Rösler Electronic offers a zero client implemented in the industrial monitor, which connects to the server via PCoIP (PC over IP). According to the manufacturer, this solution offers good graphics performance and a high level of operating comfort, even with HD video or 3D graphics applications. Accordingly, process values are displayed immediately and operating inputs are transmitted without delay. The zero client belongs to the group of thin clients, although this is a server-side technology. Virtualization allows the previously physically separate servers to be combined on one server. PCoIP technology is the link between central computer servers and data storage as well as decentralized operating units or mobile workstations. The need for local CPU power becomes superfluous, as the output image and software are transferred from the central server to the PCoIP-capable end devices. For the operator, there is no difference between working with a local computer and a zero client that works via PCoIP. The product can be implemented in all industrial monitors.
