Telit Wireless Solutions presents the GE866-Quad, a 2G mobile radio module with conformal coating protection. The quad-band GSM/GPRS module offers an interpreter for Python scripting languages, enabling customer applications to run directly in the module. With a size of 13 mm × 17 mm in the LGA form factor, the module is only half the size of a standard SIM card. The module is designed for worldwide use, its GSM/GPRS engine supports voice transmission via both an analog and digital (DVI) interface. Data communication complies with GPRS Class 10, 3 PP Release 4 specifications and includes a UART interface (V.24 ITU-T), seven I/O ports and an A/D-D/A converter.
