Deltabar FMD71/72 from Endress+Hauser enables reliable level monitoring thanks to application-specific sensors and electronic signal transmission. The differential pressure system consists of a transmitter and two sensor modules. One sensor module measures the hydrostatic pressure (HP side), the other the head pressure (LP side). The level, mass and volume are calculated from these digital values in the evaluation unit and transmitted to the control system via a 4/20 mA HART signal. Various pressure measuring cells are available depending on the application. For example, the robust Ceraphire ceramic measuring cell, which is characterized by its high resistance. It is oil-free, FDA-compliant, vacuum-proof and automatically detects a diaphragm rupture. The silicon sensor with stainless steel diaphragm of the FMD72 is fully welded and therefore seal-free. The overload-resistant measuring cell forms the basis for the diaphragm seal attachment and can be realized in many special materials. Small process connections can be designed flush with the front. By dispensing with capillaries or impulse lines, the level measurement is very reliable. According to the manufacturer, the influence of ambient and process temperature fluctuations is minimized and measurement problems due to icing, clogging or condensation no longer occur.
