TBPN is the first safety block I/O module from Turck that combines standard and safe inputs/outputs in one device. As the IP67 hybrid modules can be flexibly adapted to the specific signal requirements in the machine, they help the user to wire machines in a space-saving and cost-efficient manner. On the safety side of the Profinet/Profisafe module, users will find two safe inputs for connecting different safety sensors such as light curtains or emergency stop buttons. Two further safe channels can be used either as inputs or outputs. The four universal inputs/outputs for connecting non-safety-related signals can each switch up to 2 A. Two of the I/Os can also be configured as IO-Link masters. In combination with I/O hubs from the provider, users can connect up to 32 additional I/Os to the module in this way. Both the standard channels and one IO-Link channel of the module can be switched off internally in a safety-oriented manner, which considerably simplifies the switching and wiring of auxiliary drives and valve terminals. The robust safety module was developed for the temperature range between -40 and +70 °C and complies with protection classes IP65/IP67/IP69K.
