With netX 6, Hilscher is expanding the 'netX' controller family with a pure multi-protocol network switch that can be used in conjunction with an external host processor. Any processor with an external memory, SPI or MII interface can be used for this purpose. The switch has integrated PHYs and supports all common Real-Time Ethernet systems such as Profinet IRT V2.3, Ethernet/IP with DLR, Ethercat, Powerlink and Sercos as well as standard fieldbuses such as Profibus, CC-Link and all CAN-based systems. Suitable HAL drivers are available free of charge.
