With the 'Ambiact' system, the Oldenburg-based start-up Oldntec connects electrical household appliances with the home emergency call. A sensor placed between the electrical appliance and the socket automatically activates the day button in most home emergency call devices when it is used. Customers normally press the day button themselves at regular intervals to signal that everything is OK. If none of the connected devices are used for an unusually long time and the day button is not pressed manually, the sensor triggers the home emergency call automatically.
