The Berlin-based company Augletics has developed a new type of sports equipment that can be used to imitate classic rowing movements on land even more realistically. In contrast to conventional exercise equipment, the rowing resistance is not generated mechanically but is controlled digitally using an ergometer and can therefore be measured on a tablet PC. In this way, conditions and movement sequences during training on land are simulated so realistically that it feels like rowing on water. The picture shows Dr. Andreas Goerdeler from the BMWi (3rd from left) with the award winners Hannes Jeltsch, Fabian Stenschke, Flavio Holstein, Hagen Rothe and Benjamin Bach (from left to right).
