With the help of the 'InnoStrukt 3D' software from Ingolf Leithoff, Ronny Kubik and Peter Huster, traffic, energy and pipeline routes can be displayed spatially in the design phase and their design modified in real time. The special feature: the design is checked by the software by querying external data sources directly on the basis of current safety requirements and technical regulations. The result: a faster and more accurate estimate of the feasibility and construction costs of the project. The free choice of perspective when viewing the 3D model improves clarity and makes the planned work easier to understand for specialist planners, political decision-makers and citizens. For this development, the BMWi is awarding the special prize 'ICT applications in the construction industry', endowed with 10,000 euros.
