This year's winner in the 'Electric Vehicle' category was Nissan with its 'eNV200' electric van. The van has a virtually silent drive train, a continuously variable transmission and rapid acceleration from the very first meter. The batteries of the electric van can be charged to 80% of their capacity in less than 30 minutes at a CHAdeMO fast charging station. The range of one battery charge is 170 km according to the new European measuring cycle 'NEDC' (New European Driving Cycle). According to the jury, this is well above the average 100 km that 70% of all compact vans used in the fleet sector cover every day. The compact van has a 4.2 m cargo space - equivalent to around two Euro pallets - and a payload of 770 kg.
