The EU research project 'Prace' is also developing a two-armed robot system for the partial automation of small series production. The concept: learning by demonstration. The mobile production assistant learns from the worker how to carry out certain tasks independently. Similar to a master-apprentice relationship, the worker demonstrates certain skills. The mobile production assistant follows the execution and categorizes the acquired knowledge in its knowledge database. When applying the new skill, the worker corrects and refines the robot's execution as necessary until the desired result is achieved. The advantage: 'Prace' can be intuitively trained for different handling and manipulation tasks without a great deal of effort and can be used quickly.
