Less than two months after the presentation of Windows 8 at a developer conference in September, the first demo implementations are available from providers such as Iconics and Beckhoff. Existing Windows applications should be able to run 1:1 on the Windows 7 successor and be combined with the Live Tiles familiar from Windows Phone.
