Angle sensor RFC 4800 from Novotechnik
© Novotechnik
The angle sensor RFC 4800 in protection class IP69K from Novotechnik is now also available as a version with CANopen interface. It opens up additional diagnostic options for users and provides features such as cam switches, limit value switches and speed data. The CANopen version is available as a single or dual-channel version, with either one or two connections. This enables connection to a spur line as well as looping through the bus. In terms of contacting, there is a choice between versions with a cable outlet and 5-pin M12 connectors or AMP or Deutsch connectors for mobile applications. As the 15 mm flat, fully encapsulated sensor element and the positioning magnet are structurally separated from each other, the angle sensor can be positioned up to 1.5 mm away from the positioning element. A stronger position sensor is available for distances of up to around 4 mm. The sensor provides absolute measured values over a full 360°, which it outputs with a resolution of 14 bits (0.022°). The internal sensor resolution is available to the control system as a speed signal. The (independent) linearity is ±0.5 %, the repeat accuracy is 0.1°.
