With the programmable embedded industrial routers and modems for LAN networks, ADSL/SDSL and mobile communications of the QLM (Quick Line Module) series from Insys icom, integrators receive embedded single-board routers in 56 x 56 mm format. A GPRS/EDGE or UMTS/HSPA version is also available for mobile radio applications. All router versions can be configured via web browser, integrate three VPN types as well as a firewall and have a Linux-based INSYS sandbox, which allows users to write applications in their preferred programming language (e.g. C, C++, Python, Java) separately from the device firmware. Ethernet, RS232 and I²C interfaces open up possibilities for a wide range of project requirements.
