With the S420 safety hinge switch made of stainless steel, Leuze electronic solves mechanically and hygienically demanding tasks where a high safety level (SIL 3, PL e) is required and cleanliness or hygiene play a major role. Thanks to the cable outlet on the wall side, a highly tempered surface with a roughness of less than 0.8 µm and protection class IP67/IP69K, the switches are easy to clean - even with a pressure jet. Concealed, non-manipulable screws reduce the risk of tampering. According to the manufacturer, even heavy doors with opening angles of up to 180° can be reliably secured with a long service life thanks to the six-fold screw connection of the hinge. Four multi-colored LEDs enable on-site diagnostics, while an additional signal output is used to transmit the door status to indicator lights or control units. Users can choose between device versions with contact blocks or safety switching outputs (OSSDs), with the latter allowing 32 devices to be connected in series without reducing the safety level.
