Euchner is expanding its range of industrial safety technology to include electro-sensitive protective equipment: The light grids and light curtains of the LCA series are suitable for access and danger zone guarding and are available as multi-beam light grids (2 to 4 mm) or as light curtains with resolutions from 14 to 50 mm. Depending on the requirements of the area to be safeguarded, type 2 and type 4 light grids and light curtains are available with different protective field heights and ranges. Commissioning and parameterization can be carried out directly on the device, without additional programming on a PC. An integrated LED display provides a quick overview of the device status. The slim design in an industrial housing enables installation even in confined spaces. The light grids and light curtains meet all the normative requirements placed on electro-sensitive protective equipment; depending on the type selected (2 or 4), a performance level PL c / SIL 1 or a performance level PL e / SIL 3 can be achieved. Various muting functions can be implemented in combination with the freely programmable safe small control unit 'MSC'. With the aid of additional sensors, the small control unit monitors the correct sequence of the bridging process by an object and detects if, for example, people move through the protective field instead of the object. A maximum of three type 4 light curtains can be connected in series for simple safeguarding of danger points.
