The exTherm-DR two-point controller completes the Jumo portfolio in the field of safety technology. It can be configured for heating or cooling processes, has Ex II approval and is particularly suitable for use in pipe trace heating systems, in the process and chemical industries, firing and heating technology or in painting and drying systems. Corresponding type-tested sensors can be connected directly to the intrinsically safe Ex(ia) measuring input for resistance thermometers, thermocouples or current unit signals, so a barrier is not required. In addition to the 'controller' relay output, the device has a second relay output for limit value monitoring. A 0/10 V logic signal is available for the controller output and limit value signaling. As an alternative to the logic signal, the current measured value or the setpoint 4 to 20 mA is output via the standard analog output. The two-position controller has an LC display to show all relevant process information. Commissioning is carried out on the device using four buttons or via the USB interface on the front using the set-up program.
