The XLCT safety light curtain system from Fiessler Elektronik consists of a light transmitter and a light receiver. The transmitter and receiver are housed in a compact extruded aluminum profile housing with a cross-section of 25 mm × 35 mm with flexible T-slot nut fastening. Thanks to the modular technology of the transmitter and receiver, all protective field heights between 100 mm and 1500 mm are possible in 100 mm increments. The intelligent safety system is available with an integrated evaluation unit that includes the programmable EDM (external device monitoring) and restart interlock functions. This eliminates the need for an additional safety evaluation unit. A 7-segment display is available for programming and diagnosing the system. Depending on the risk assessment of the machine, the safety light barrier system is available in safety category 2 (as TLCT) and 4 (as ULC). Depending on the safety distance between the safety light curtain protective field and the danger point, finger protection (resolution 14 mm) or hand protection (resolution 30 mm) is used. The system is also available in the BLCT (type 4) or ILCT (type 2) version with ten different programmable blanking options as a blanking safety light curtain.
