Attocube Systems, a subsidiary of Wittenstein, is exhibiting picometer-accurate distance sensors and piezo actuators for precise positioning in the nanometer range. The miniature motors, which are used in micro and precision engineering as well as in special machine construction, are hardly bigger than a cube. The 'Industrial Line' mini motors are used for positioning optics or mechanical components, for example, and can be stacked in up to six axes thanks to their modular design. They have a travel distance of up to 100 mm with a resolution of 1 nm and a repeat accuracy of 50 nm.
