Wachendorff Automation has revised the incremental encoders in the 'WDG' series, which are based on the industry standard 58 mm size: The operating temperature range of the standard WDGI rotary encoders with connector outlet has been extended to -40 to +85 °C. This extended temperature range is optionally available for rotary encoders with cable outlet. The series offers the option of working with pulse frequencies of up to 600 kHz (TTL) or 2 MHz (HTL) at pulse rates from 1200 I/rev. The heavy-duty version 'WDGI58D' offers a 25% higher possible axial and radial bearing load (500N) as standard than the previous model. A pressure compensation diaphragm is available as a new option, which ensures the reliability of the encoders even in the event of rapid temperature changes, although the encoders are protected to a maximum of IP67.
