A. Steinmeier offers the SB-UEG-11 evaluation unit, which can be individually wired, for monitoring a maximum of four non-contact sensors. Typical applications include the monitoring of protective devices on machines and systems. Removed or incorrectly locked protective covers are detected and dangerous machine movements are immediately prevented. The variable switching distance of 4 to 12 mm enables concealed mounting of the sensors and actuating magnets. According to the manufacturer, the sensors are almost completely insensitive to environmental influences and soiling compared to mechanical switches. The sensors of the safety module have the classification PLd/ category 3 according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1:2008 and DIN EN ISO 13849-2:2013.
